Affirmation
When I Choose to Love Myself Enough
I began leaving
What was not healthy.
This meant people, places, my own beliefs,
Insecurities and habits and anything that kept me small.
When I choose to love myself enough
I stopped running away from who I was
And picked-up the broken pieces that
Cut my feet so deeply and stayed around
For my wounds to heal.
When I choose to love myself enough
The lamp of my heart was lit and brightened
The path to my destiny.
When I choose to love myself enough I stopped
Accepting a counterfeit form of love as a substitute
Until the real form of Love came round.
When I choose to Love myself enough, I was able
To accept my flaws, so that nobody else could use
Against me.
When I choose to love myself enough, I was bold enough
To live on my own terms…and never, ever apologized for it.
When I choose to love myself enough, I changed the lock on
The door to my heart, so that drama no longer had entry.
When I choose to love myself enough, I learned that it was my
Strengths not my weakness that others found so offensive.
When I choose to love myself enough, I Learned that the people you
Love don’t always love you back and that’s ok, because at the very
Least, it has made me stronger. I’d rather Love too much and
Be hurt than to Love too little and live in misery.
When I choose to love myself enough, at first, out of habit
It seemed disloyal, but now I see that it was just Self-Love!
